The sled base, the curved wood frame, the low, confident stance — all of it traces back to the same mid-twentieth-century philosophy of organic functionalism that shaped the rest of our accent chair collection. Alvar Aalto’s bentwood experiments and the Bauhaus insistence on honest materials gave furniture design a vocabulary that still reads as modern nearly a century later.

The frame is worked in the same warm, natural wood across both versions — the grain left visible, the joinery left honest. What sits on top of it is where the two colourways part ways.

The cream upholstery is quietly versatile. • Keep the walls and floor neutral. White, cream, warm plaster, natural wood — anything that lets the chair’s chosen colour read clearly, whichever finish you pick.
